"The worst sin toward our fellow creatures is not to hate them, but to be indifferent to them; that's the essence of humanity."

Horse Care Professionals

Nick Stuckman CEqD RVT

Certified Equine Dentist and Registered Veterinay Technician

Bucyrus, Ohio

419-563-7005

An equine dentist is critical to the health of a horse, and yearly exams are part of responsible ownership.  Dental problems or teeth in need of floating can render horses unable to eat, make eating painful, and a bit in their mouth excruciating; understandibly leading to an unhappy horse under saddle.

Nick, a horse enthusiast himself, genuinely cares for the horse, treats them with empathy and respect, and does all he can to make them able to eat again and be more comfortable.

He is very knowledgeable with regard to horses, teaches at the equine dental college in Idaho, and has had articles published on various equine health topics.

 Tracy Ruch

Equine Muscle Therapy/ Chiropractic (Dublin, Ohio)

419-707-2612

The malnutrition and abuse many of the rescue horses suffer reflects in their very physical being.  Their bones, joints, muscles, and tendons are affected, making them very uncomfortable and can even lead to restricted blood flow to parts of their body because of this; making them unridable at the very least.  Many horses end up being abandoned or given up on because they are "too wild" or "mean" under saddle, when the true problem is that they are in pain!

Tracy uses gentle, effective techniques starting with massage and then performing adjustments, to help bring the horse's body into proper alignment.  She also uses a cold laser to achieve a deep tissue massage and our horses LOVE it!

Her skills and knowlege help horses stay sound, happy, and comfortable.  If you horse is having problems or "behavior" issues under saddle or even tacking up, give Tracy a call; it can make a huge difference in your horse.

Joel Bishop

Farrier

Central Ohio

614-861-4580

Joel is a very skilled farrier, experienced in all types of shoeing and horses.  So many of the rescue horses require extra patience and a slow hand when it comes to having their hooves trimmed.  Joel understands this and does not rush a horse or lose patience.

He aids in the diagnosis of soundness and hoof health concerns and evaluates each horse based on their structure, not by a one-size-fits-all diagram.
