It costs approx $3000/yr to rescue and rehabilitate ONE horse.

The horses on this page are all available for adoption. They have come to us starved, abused, neglected or unwanted and are in varying degrees of rehabilitation. They have all fought hard to overcome health and emotional issues, so they must be placed with a suitable "forever" home. 

HOW THE ADOPTION PROCESS WORKS

An adoption application must be completed and approved prior to being considered for one of these horses. Click here for an adoption application, which can be emailed or mailed back to us after completion.

You must come and meet the horse if you are local. If you decide this is the horse for you and the horse

You must come and meet the horse if you are local. If you decide this is the horse for you and the horse agrees, a $25.00 non-refundable deposit must be given.

A placement agreement is then completed, signed and payment made. Pick-up or transportation arrangements must be within 14 days of adoption. Longer stays may be arranged with board charges.

ADOPTION FEES ARE NOT DONATIONS! THEY ARE NOT TAX DEDUCTIBLE.  Thank You!

100% of adoption fees go directly to the welfare of the horses. We take no administration fees, no payroll, and no profits.

 "Aliyah":  A 10 y/o half Arabian mare (Quarter Horse).  She's 15 hh and has nice bone and substance.  

She has started under saddle.  She loads, clips and bathes.   

Adoption fee $500 - to increase with training.

"Robin":  A 15 y/o Polish Arabian mare.  She's 14.2 hh and is very refined with a beautiful trot.

  She She is not trained under saddle yet, but is worked with daily.  She is a beautiful horse, very smart and willing, with lots of potential!

Adoption fee $500 - to increase with training.

Taiwanna (Tai)

(Homestead Le Baska x Chardonnay)

 17 y/o Arabian mare 14.2 hh

Tai was one of the horses seized by the Ottawa Cnty Humane Society.  She has an English type movement and is a strikingly beautiful horse.   She is currently in training at a foster home and will make an excellent trail horse as well; she is very level headed.

Adoption fee $1000

"Story:"  A 20 y/o Purebred Arabian Gelding.  Beautiful boy, long neck and very typey.

Story has been shown in 4H his whole life.  He is very calm and is suitable for light riding for a light rider.  His suspensory ligaments are stretched out, but he would be a great lead-line horse or child's horse for light riding only.  He is as calm as is gets and is very lovey and friendly.

He does need to be on complete feed, as his teeth were in terrible disrepair and some had to be pulled. 

Adoption fee $150
