Many of these horses fighting for their lives showed in Scottsdale's arenas!  We want to raise awareness and funds for these horses, who are on a long road to recovery.

I will be there a few of the days in a rescue T-shirtPlease introduce yourself; I'd love to meet you!----

  Thank you for your support!

_---UPDATE---

We saw the horses Saturday, Jan 30.  They are in bad shape - some of them couldn't even stand.  It was beyond words.  Six are dead/euthanized and two were down when we left.

They are too weak to be transported, but it is estimated they'll be abel to travel in 2 weeks.

They had chewed through 2x4s in their stalls and the walls between their stalls were knawed down.  The had no water.

These horses will require extensive vetting and careful refeeding.  They are not out of the woods yet.

Benevolence V is still alive, but you can see his hip bones through his thick winter blanket.

I will update as soon as I know more.

The horses thank you for your donations and prayers.

---------------------------------

SECOND UPDATE!

We were up to see the horses Feb 6.  There are 35 horses in total; two are at another barn - we counted them ourselves.

The horses were all standing and were started on grain yesterday.  The care and vetting they will require in the coming months will be extensive.

Some of the horses are still doubled up in stalls and were fighting.  THE STRESS IS REALLY GETTING TO THESE HORSES; it's mentally and physically stressful for them to be held in this temporary state...

I comforted the ones I could and unfortunately had to leave again; rescues at home who need us too.

UPDATE!!

Dante is doing wonderfully!  He's been here two weeks and has settled right in.  He has medicine on all of his cuts/sores and the fur is growing back!Dante - 2 weeks - 25 mph and his plastic bag :)
He's starting a clinic to desensitize horses to plastic bags.  25 mph winds and apparently there is nothing more fun than a plastic bag!
